How It Works
This workflow is triggered daily at 08:30 AM. It first queries the EU Commission's news website to fetch the latest articles. These articles are then parsed to extract key details like title, description, link, and date. An 'If' node then filters for 'News article' types that were published exactly five days prior to the workflow run. Each qualifying article is processed by an AI agent, leveraging OpenAI's GPT-4o-mini via LangChain, to determine if its content is related to sustainability. The article data, along with the AI-generated 'sustainability' flag, is recorded into a Google Sheet for persistent storage. Concurrently, the workflow retrieves all sustainability-flagged articles from the Google Sheet (regardless of their publication date), generates a professional HTML email digest using custom code, and finally sends this curated digest to your specified mailing list via Gmail.
