How It Works
This workflow automates the entire resume processing pipeline:
1. Candidate Submission & Data Extraction
When a candidate submits their CV through the n8n form, the workflow automatically uploads the resume PDF to Google Drive for secure storage. Simultaneously, an AI-powered node extracts all relevant text from the PDF.
2. Smart Information Extraction
The extracted text is then fed into two specialized AI (LangChain) information extractors. One focuses on personal details like first name, last name, email, city, and contact information. The other extracts educational qualifications, detailed job history, and specific technical skills, providing a comprehensive profile.
3. Profile Consolidation & Summarization
All extracted data from personal info and qualifications is merged into a single structured format. An AI summarizer then generates a concise, professional overview of the candidate, highlighting key experiences and skills for quick HR review.
4. AI-Powered HR Evaluation & Record Keeping
An "HR Expert" AI agent, configured with the desired job profile, reviews the candidate's summary and assigns a compatibility score (1-10). It also provides a detailed consideration for the given score. Finally, all extracted details, the AI-generated summary, the HR expert's vote, and consideration are appended to a Google Sheet, creating a centralized, searchable database of applicants.
