How It Works

This n8n workflow operates as a smart webhook listener for your Baserow tables. It activates upon 'row updated', 'field created', or 'field updated' events. Upon activation, it first retrieves your table's schema, identifying fields with user-defined descriptions that act as AI prompts. The workflow then intelligently branches: for individual row updates, it processes only the affected rows; for field-level changes, it iterates through all relevant rows. For each target row, it downloads the attached PDF file, extracts its textual content, and feeds this content, along with your dynamic field prompts, to a Large Language Model (LLM). The LLM processes these instructions to extract the required data, which is then used to automatically update the corresponding cells in your Baserow table.
